Miss Pooja is an Indian Punjabi singer. Born on 4 December 1980, she was named Gurinder Kaur Kainth. She is one of the renowned Punjabi folk vocalist today not only in India but across the globe where the Punjabi population is there. Her Punjabi songs are famous with today’s generation and kids as well.
Before Miss Pooja moved on to be a professional singer, she has done her Master's degree in music and has also worked as a music teacher in Patel Public School in Rajpura, India. Miss Pooja has been trained by Ustads Kesar Nand Kesar and Mahinder Singh Nagina. Her debut Punjabi songs album was Jaan Ton Piyari which was released in January, 2006.
The reason for Gurinder Kaur to chose “Miss Pooja” as her professional name in the singing community was because it was her nickname when she was a kid. Miss Pooja is renowned and highly regarded for having given a new face lift to Punjabi songs especially the Punjabi duets.
Miss Pooja's duets are often played at the parties and marriages. Her success is owing to the pace with which she has been recording her songs. To put on record, Miss Pooja has sung Punjabi songs with about 70 different male singers. Miss Pooja has also got her experience in Punjabi film industry apart from Punjabi songs.
Few of the Punjabi films she acted are “Panjaban – Love Rules Hearts”, 2010 and “Channa Sachi Muchi”, 2010. Undoubtedly, Miss Pooja is one of the rising stars of Punjabi Songs in Punjab.
